Day Trips: Paddle or Power to Korčula’s Best Bays
Waking up in Prižba means making one delicious decision: slow-glide between mini–islands on a paddle board, or push the throttles of our Blueline 21 and streak toward turquoise bays most travellers never see.
The Paddle Warm-Up – Micro-Adventures That Start on Our Pier
Island Hop to Stupa & Friends
Step onto a stable SUP or rent a Kayak at Ratak beach and aim for the little domino line of Stupa, Sridnjak and Crklica—uninhabited rocks floating about 800 m off Prižba’s promenade, close enough that you’ll still hear roosters in the village. Their shallows glow clear green, and locals swear the best snorkel is between Stupa and Sridnjak where schools of saddled seabream swirl.
Plan in one breath: leave at first light, glide for ten to fifteen unhurried minutes, tie your leash to a natural bollard of limestone, and float-snorkel before the powerboats wake up.

Vrnik & Badija Monastery Safari
Fancy culture with your cardio? Toss the boards in the van for a 30-minute drive to Lumbarda, then paddle across a glassy channel to Vrnik’s abandoned quarries before continuing to deer-dotted Badija with its 15-century Franciscan monastery. (Badija.com)
Plan: a gentle figure-of-eight loop that most guests polish off in 2–3 hours, including quarry echoes and coffee at Badija’s tiny kiosk. The channel is rarely choppy before noon, so early birds win.
Throttle Up – Blueline 21 Day Trips
Licence check: the Blueline’s 150 hp means Croatia asks for a recognised Boat Leader B/ICC licence plus a short-range VHF certificate—no skipper-for-hire option at 300 Adventures. (pp-lastovo.hr)
1. Pupnatska Luka Radiant Bay
Nudge west along Korčula’s high-cliff coast and drop anchor in Pupnatska Luka, often billed as the island’s prettiest bay. The bottom is sand, holds well at 10–12 m, and the water glows emerald against pine slopes. A beach taverna grills calamari from noon, but bring a paddle board to slip round the corner into tiny Rasohatica if the main bay crowds.
Why it thrills: twenty-odd minutes under power, yet you feel orbit-levels away from civilisation. CN Traveler even name-checked it in their 2025 “hidden gems” roundup. (Condé Nast Traveler)

2. Proizd Marble-White Paradise
Point the bow toward Vela Luka, then bear right to uninhabited Proizd—famous for marble rock ledges and water that looks Photoshopped. A local blog notes the taxi boat from Vela Luka does the hop in about 35 minutes; your Blueline beats that easily. Anchor in Batalo cove’s sandy patches and spend the afternoon rock-hopping or cliff-jumping. Travel editors list Proizd alongside Korčula’s top beaches for good reason. (Condé Nast Traveler)

3. Šćedro’s Secret Harbour
Craving wilderness without the mileage of Lastovo? Slice across Korčula Channel to leaf-green Šćedro. Sailors love its hidden bays for shelter when the afternoon maestral kicks up—the same summer breeze that powers you home. Drop the hook in Carnjeni or Borova, both rimmed with rosemary, and picnic on deck. Keep an eye out for dolphins that hunt in the channel around 4 p.m., when traffic thins.

4. Wild Lastovo Expedition (For the Bold)
If you’re licence-proud and weather windows align, set course southwest to Saplun Bay in Lastovo Nature Park. Twelve eco-moorings sit over talcum-sand shallows, each with twin bow-and-stern buoys—easy, stress-free parking. Pay the ranger by card, snorkel the grass-beds, and still reach Prižba by sunset at a brisk cruise. The place feels Jurassic, and you’re helping protect seagrass by using the buoys.

Weather & Seamanship Nuggets
- The maestral pops up like clockwork—light at noon, 10–15 knots by mid-afternoon, then fades after 18:00. Plan upwind legs early and let the breeze push you home.
- South-coast bays are steep-sided; rig a long stern line to shore so the Blueline can’t swing. Anchoring advice for Pupnatska—10 m sand—holds true for most.
- One tank (150 l) comfortably covers any route here and back with reserve, but Vela Luka’s fuel dock is the safety net when you visit Proizd.
